By combining the theories learned in the classroom with practical applications on the job, we hope to contribute to professional development, allowing you to contribute to shaping the future of the company and our project successes. The goal of the co-op program is to build a relationship with the student that will ultimately lead to full-time employment after graduation.
We offer co-op opportunities at our offices in Brecksville, OH; Columbus, OH; and Canonsburg, PA in:
College student currently enrolled in a 2 or 4-year university pursuing an associate or bachelor's degree in Construction Management, civil engineering, or related field
It is strongly encouraged that students who intern with Independence Construction plan to do so for at least 2 terms (do not need to be consecutive)
Co-ops/Interns are required to work 40+ hour weeks, preferably when the student is taking a semester away from school or during summer break
A degree of travel is required for the internship
