As part of the DiGeronimo Companies family, we live out the belief that strong companies help build strong communities. This commitment is woven into our culture just as intentionally as safety, performance, and integrity.
We strive to make a lasting, positive impact in the places where we live and build. Whether we’re partnering with local organizations, supporting neighborhood revitalization efforts, or volunteering our time, we approach community engagement with the same focus and accountability we bring to every project.
Community has long been one of DiGeronimo Companies’ foundational values. It is a commitment shared across all business units, including Independence Construction. It represents our dedication to giving back, investing in people, and making decisions that extend beyond the jobsite to strengthen the fabric of the communities we serve.
This isn’t something we do because it looks good. We do it because it matters. It matters to our employees, to our families, to our clients, and to the future we’re helping build.
In support of this mission, DiGeronimo Companies launched DiGCo DIGS Deep, our Employee Volunteer Program designed to make service more accessible, meaningful, and collaborative. The program gives team members opportunities to connect with coworkers outside of work while supporting individuals and organizations in need.
What began with a simple email invitation grew into a company-wide effort. Employees formed a volunteer committee, identified areas of impact through a company survey, and helped shape a program rooted in the causes we care about most. Since then, hundreds of employees have shown up across our offices serving meals, supporting youth programs, participating in community cleanups, and offering a helping hand wherever it’s needed.
Every hour donated and every event supported reflects who we are: people who care, people who act, and people who believe construction companies can build far more than buildings.
Our team is ready to show you how being built different helps us build better for you.
