Summary Back to Top

Construction of a 14,425 square feet auto dealership on a 3.6 acre parcel of land in Brook Park, Ohio, containing a shared 265 parking space sales lot. The facility included a (6) Vehicle Showroom, (4) Vehicle Service Drive, (7) Bay Service Area, (3) Vehicle Detail Bay, Parts Storage Mezzanine, Training Room and (9) Office Sales Department.

Design/Build project in which Independence Construction and our team played a large part in all aspects of the design including foundations, structural steel and mechanical systems. We contracted and worked directly with the architect and engineers in order to keep the project within the designated project budget.

Site work for this facility and the adjacent Airport Acura of Cleveland, which is built on the same parcel of land, began in May of 2014. The site includes a fully underground retention structure. Foundations were completed and the structural steel erection was started in June of 2014. The building envelope consisted of a structural steel frame and half height masonry in the service area of the building. The exterior facade included a combination of EIFS and aluminum composite panels. Large glass windows also created much of the sales area exterior facades. By the end of July 2014 the building was fully enclosed and the interior construction was proceeding. The majority of this facility has open painted ceilings and contained many brand specific finishes, including millwork and tile flooring throughout the entire facility including the service drive and service areas. The interior finishes of the building were completed in mid-September 2014.
