This project consisted of renovations to CIA’s historic McCullough Center Building which began its life in 1915 as an assembly plant for Model T Fords. The fast-track summer project was needed to accommodate the growth of CIA’s animation program.

Features of the project include:

  • New Game Design Studios
  • Dedicated and open digital labs
  • Offices
  • Critique spaces

The project scope also included the relocation of a Human Resources suite into an underutilized storage spaces beneath Henry Ford’s former offices.

Independence Construction’s Special Projects Group worked closely with CIA and the design team and implemented Lean construction practices to deliver the project on time and on budget.
