This expansion project consisted of a seven-level, 364,000 SF, 1,224-space parking deck surrounded on two sides by a six-level 118,000 SF office building (core and shell space).
Independence Construction was also awarded the contract for the fit-out of the project's shell office space, and this portion of the project is LEED Silver certified. The design of the space is open in nature, with cubicles and gathering spaces that encourage open dialogue and teamwork. In fact, only three individual offices are included in the design.
The building's northeast tower, an integral part of the office structure, houses the open kitchen and wireless work lounge for team projects, enclave rooms for private meetings, and common areas for informal collaboration and work breaks. Large windows that let in abundant natural light, a soft color palette, and comfortable seating in open areas provide a relaxing atmosphere for project planning and team meetings.
