This project was completed as part of a system-wide investment involving new construction, renovation, and site work at multiple branches throughout Geauga County, for which Independence Construction was the CM at Risk.

The single-story Thompson Branch has dedicated spaces for both children and adults and features:

• Interior spaces that are flooded with natural light through vaulted windows
• An entry corridor with a coffee station, information desk, self-checkout, and copy/fax area
• Two study rooms that offer quiet, glass-enclosed spaces for small gatherings
• The Frances Spatz Leighton Reading Room with views of the wooded areas of the site
• An expansive children’s section with bright reading areas and gathering space
• A multi-media conference room with computer adaptive seating that can accommodate 108 people
