This project consisted of the construction of two new 4-story residence halls to house 600 second-year students. Corridor-style living features mostly double rooms with communal restrooms, as well as open study areas and floor lounges.

In addition to living space, a large, glass-enclosed multi-purpose room with a 100-person capacity was included in the project. A large green space between the two buildings will feature:

  • A “gathering grove” with hammocks and string lighting
  • A “reading and wellness garden” for studying and relaxing
  • A “play lawn” for outdoor recreation

The buildings’ façades are mostly a blend of brick, granite and glass, in a modem re-interpretation of nearby Little Italy’s current aesthetic.

The project was designed and constructed to achieve LEED Silver certification.

In addition to IC’s CMR services, our Special Projects Group was responsible for the general trades package, while our affiliated company through the DiGeronimo Companies performed the sitework for the project.
