Summary Back to Top

Located on UR's Westhampton campus adjacent to the South Court, this new residence hall houses 157 sophomores, juniors, and seniors in 110 suite-style rooms. Sixteen different room types are offered throughout the building, ranging from single rooms with a hall bath to suites that share a bathroom.

Each floor features a community lounge, while the first floor also includes a multi-purpose room, group study space, and a community kitchen.

Westhampton Hall also houses a college fellow, a live-in faculty member who plans programs that connect the curricular and co-curricular experience.

The four-story steel frame structure's façade is primarily brick and limestone with casement windows, custom wood doors, and steeply pitched slate and copper roofs punctuated with dormer windows to reflect the building’s Collegiate Gothic style of architecture.

Sustainable elements of the project include HVAC systems that can be monitored and controlled by a central control system, low-flow plumbing, and an electrical system that can be monitored by the energy dashboard.
